Trinity Hotel – Terms, Conditions & Privacy Policy

Card Details & Payments

  • A valid credit or debit card is required to secure bookings.
  • The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise the card for the first night’s stay.
  • Bookings may be cancelled if valid card details are not provided.
  • A 1.8% surcharge applies to credit card payments. Guests may pay by cash or NZ EFTPOS to avoid this fee.

Bed Split Requests

  • 24 hours’ notice is required for bed-splitting requests.
  • Same-day requests cannot be accommodated after 11 AM.

Payment Policy

  • Trinity Hotel operates on a “pay on arrival” basis.
  • For non-refundable rates, full payment is taken at the time of booking.
  • All guests must settle their account upon arrival (not departure).
  • Direct bank deposits are not accepted.

Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation up to 1 day prior to arrival.
  • Same-day cancellations incur a fee equal to 1 night’s accommodation; all subsequent nights are automatically cancelled.

Child Policy

  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, unless approved by management

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: From 2 PM (early check-in may be available if rooms are ready; luggage storage is available).
  • Check-Out: By 11 AM.
    • Late check-out until 12 PM = $20 (subject to availability).
    • Unarranged late check-outs = $40 fee.

Luggage Room

  • The hotel is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged while in storage.

Security Deposit / Bonds

  • A valid credit card is required at check-in.
  • Guests without a credit card may provide a $100 cash/EFTPOS bond, refundable after room inspection.
  • Additional charges may apply for damages or evidence of smoking.

Identification

Valid, current physical photo ID is required at check-in.

Hotel Key Cards

  • Guests are responsible for key cards.
  • Lost/damaged cards incur a $20 replacement fee.
  • All key cards must be returned on check-out.

Room Extensions

  • Extensions must be arranged and paid for before 11 AM on departure day.
  • Extensions are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Occupancy Limits

  • Guests must not exceed room occupancy limits.
  • Breaches may result in extra charges or eviction without refund.

Guest Privacy

  • Hotel staff will not confirm or disclose guest details (past, present, or future) without management approval.

Visitor Policy

  • Visitors must wait in reception unless accompanied by a registered guest.
  • Staff will not contact guests on behalf of visitors.

No-Smoking Policy

  • Smoking is prohibited indoors, on fire escapes, near external railings, and close to windows.
  • Breach = $200 fine and possible eviction without refund.

Hotel Allocation

  • In the case of booking errors, system issues, or maintenance, the hotel reserves the right to relocate guests to an alternative property of equal standard.

Liability

  • The registered guest is responsible for all charges, damages, or theft.
  • Post-departure charges may be applied to the credit/debit card provided at check-in.

Removal Policy

  • Guests who breach policies may be asked to leave immediately.
  • Police involvement may occur if required.

Damages & Cleaning

  • Guests are liable for damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning.
  • Repair/replacement costs (including shipping/handling) may be charged.
  • Severe cases may result in criminal charges.

Fire Safety

  • Tampering with fire equipment = $250 fine and eviction.
  • Discovery after departure may still result in charges.
  • Activating the fire alarm = minimum $2000 fee (NZ Fire & Rescue Service call-out).

Noise & Party Policy

  • Strict No In-Room Party Policy.
  • Excessive noise, parties, or disturbances will result in eviction without refund and/or a disturbance fee

Website Information

  • While all efforts are made to ensure accuracy, the hotel is not liable for errors or omissions on the website.
  • Information is subject to change without notice.

Refundable Damage Deposit

  • If no credit/debit card is provided, a $100 security deposit is required.
  • Refunds are issued after room inspection at check-out.
